The icon California burger restaurant is not only bringing up the fixings for 1,600 burger meals, it is also rumoured to be packing 300 In-N-Out T-shirts that will be sold off to burger buyers only. In addition to all the Cruise-In specific souvenirs being sold at the show, In-N-Out Burger fans have a chance to add to their collection, if they’re early enough to the proverbial party. The public is welcome at Cruise-In starting at 8 a.m. “Stop by our booth and check out this year’s must-have keepsakes from the Langley Good Times Cruise-In,” Cowx said. The souvenir booth will be located on Fraser Highway between 268th and 270th Streets during the car show on Saturday, Sept. That’s why purchasing a souvenir is doing more that preserving a memory – it is a contribution to local non-profits. Sales of the souvenirs are one more way that Cruise-In raises funds to not only pay for the costs of putting on the show, but ensuring that as much money as possible is raised for a variety of local charities. “All of our merchandise for sale is supplied by local companies within our community,” she added. The souvenir tent often has a line up from early in the day, so its recommended to go early. These often are put on a garage or shop wall. Many regular visitors like to have a plate from each year they have attended. These are full-sized plates with the year of the Cruise-In on them. There will be ball caps, posters for $2, and licence plates. “We will be selling shirts, hats, posters, dash plaques,” Cowx said, noting they have a little bit of everything for car owners and show-goers alike. Vintage hoodies will be back again featuring art from past Cruise-Ins, which are very popular and limited. Kyla Cowx, who is in charge of the stand with her husband, Chris, said T-shirts are always popular. Langley Good Times Cruise-In operates a souvenir stand each year as part of the car show, and its making another return.
This year, car enthusiasts can add to that growing souvenir collection, or newbies can get started on building a collection. Some shirts feature their restored vehicle, or are souvenirs of past car shows they have attended. It’s that time of year again when collectors will have to decide what T-shirt to wear to the popular Cruise-In car show.
